On the Twelfth Month of Home Renovation...November
Yay! We are on the last month of our home renovation look-back. And in this last month, we finally finished a project! The deck is completely built (of course there is still staining in the spring).
What a huge improvement!
A fast project was painting this old dresser to use for my craft item storage.
We had more fun when we took Samantha camping for the first time...although it was very cold!
Thanksgiving day had beautiful weather and Samantha got to play in the grass.
We "Dazzle Dash"ed with my mom friends and their babies and husbands.
Samantha got to meet Santa in my hometown.
And she grew a lot over these first 10 months! We're going to have one tall daughter!
Thanks for joining us on the Third Annual "Twelve Months of Home Renovation!" Hopefully next year we'll have even more projects to share (we did have a lot of fun this year!).

On the Eleventh Month of Home Renovation...October
October was filled with a lot of work and a lot of fun. A lot of progress was made on the deck.
We took a road trip to visit some of the farms were we get our food...Samantha really liked the calves and turkeys.
We spent a day at the pumpkin patch as well.
Going with the farm theme, we dressed her up as an ear of corn (and I was the scarecrow).
Up next...November!

On the Tenth Month of Home Renovation...September
Demolition is always fun - and back porch demo was no exception.
We also dug holes and poured footers for the new deck.
A small side project was replacing the broken (and ugly) railing on the front porch.
Chris had a huge hop harvest.
And we went to the beach for vacation. What vacation would be complete without a trip to the local brewery?

On the Ninth Month of Home Renovation...August
The month of August was almost strictly for fun this year. We did plan the deck (yet another project to start) and get the permits.
"Farmer Sam" won 3rd prize in the baby parade!
Samantha took Water Babies swim lessons and really enjoyed it.
She is a big fan of being outside!

On the Eighth Month of Home Renovation...July
We hired a company to install the shower door. It wasn't until this was installed that we realized just how big the shower is!
In classic Skocik fashion, we started another project before we were done with the old ones. The new fence looks much better though!
Our garden was rapidly producing delicious vegetables (and pretty flowers).
We celebrated Chris' parents 50th wedding anniversary with a party - a good time was had by all!
We also had some good summer fun!

On the Seventh Month of Home Renovation...June
The master bathroom really started to come together this month. The vanity was installed, tiled, grouted, and the fixtures were installed. The wall between the closet/shelf area was closed up as well.
The bedroom stopped looking so ghetto with a nice drywall patch job.
Samantha went on her first plane ride and we visited family in New Hampshire (with a side trip to Boston).
And just to throw in another sweet baby picture...

On the Sixth Month of Home Renovation...May
We worked more on the master bathroom this month. We finally started modifying the furniture we bought for the vanity.
The yard became a disaster area for awhile. The giant rocks were removed, huge piles of dirt were delivered, and new grass seed was spread.
The garden became a priority - we planted the big garden and the planters I built.
My parents bought the "River House" and started their own renovation fun.
Samantha was still a very happy baby.
