We had a great Thanksgiving with family. We drove to Ohio on Tuesday to miss the big storm that was expected. Samantha had a great time with Nana, Pappap, and her cousins, aunts, and uncles. And her Thanksgiving meal was gobbled up (along with seconds and thirds).
We left after the meal to head to my parents for a second Thanksgiving meal with my family. She still ate pretty well but was a little stuffed from the first one.
After finishing all my Christmas shopping on Black Friday, we went to see my parents river house. We hadn't seen the new addition yet and it was quite impressive!
They still have to install the stud walls and put in all the major utilities (or update what's there). It'll look great in no time at all!
On Friday night, we went to "Light Up Night" in my hometown. It was quite cold so we had to bundle up. Even though Samantha looks miserable in the picture, she had a good time.
They have a parade with the high school band, many beauty queens, church and scout floats, and a live nativity complete with camels, donkeys, and sheep. Following the parade, we headed to the library to visit Santa. Unfortunately, Samantha was not too happy to meet him.
The change in the weather seems to be affecting Samantha - she's been doing a lot of hat wearing and cuddling!
November was a good time for lots of arts and crafts. Here are a few that we've done recently:
Handprint turkey,
Painting,
and threading Cheerios onto a turkey's feathers.
It's hard to believe that December is already here but hopefully we can still get some things accomplished before the holidays.
