On the sixth month of home renovation we finally completed a project!
The back "porch" was incredibly ugly and poorly built when we bought the house (all the plants growing up it didn't help).
Last year, we were able to remove this awful little structure and build a nice, big deck.
We let the pressure treated wood season for a year before staining (floor and hand rail) and painting (vertical rails). It looks much better now (and is one of the few fully finished projects on the house).
A project that I finished (and am quite proud of) is Samantha's play kitchen. I had started with an old cabinet and TV stand and turned it into a great kitchen (which she absolutely loves).
We had our first crop of the season with the most delicious strawberries...although Samantha ate almost all of them (every time she went outside she got a couple more).
We did have some fun by taking a trip to the Finger Lakes for a wine tour. It was a fun weekend (and Samantha wasn't drinking - just a unstable walker).
I took part in two "athletic" events - the Color Run and the Relay for Life.
Stay tuned tomorrow for the next installment of the Twelve Days of Home Renovation!
